Long Term Care – A Reality

Today we are living longer than previous generations.  As we age, we are more likely to  turn to others to help care for us. As much as our family and friends may want to help, more often then not, they are already heavily burdened, trying to raise their own families while working long hours just to try to keep up in today‘s fast paced world.  Often times they do not live close by.

The reality is that we will need to look to others to receive our care.

• Nearly 50% of those 65 and over will need nursing home care in their lifetime.
• The average length of stay in a nursing facility is over 2 years.
